Peugeot Moovie

Winner of the 2005 Peugeot International Design Competition. The Moovie is a two seater electric city car that has the two main drive wheels around the two entrance round doors, while the front is supported by two spheres. This allows the car to turn on itself, 360º, which is very practical for parking and maneuvering on tight spaces. For a more conventional cornering, one wheel accelerates more then the opposite one. Having the wheels like this also enhances safety, since the occupants are inside these round shapes, which are one of the best to dissipate impact energy.

The concept was built by Peugeot and showcased in the Frankfurt Motorshow in September 2005. It was also made into a 1/43 scale model by Norev.
